SUMMIT SCIENTIFIC WELCOMES NEW PRINCIPAL ENGINEER STEVE PATTERSON
Design Consultant Specializing in Electrical Engineering
Summit Scientific is pleased to introduce the newest member of our team of experts, Steve Patterson. Steve has a BS in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with an EIT professional designation. He has also completed the AEA Management Development Program at Santa Clara University.
Steve has over three decades of electrical engineering and management experience. He has worked with a variety of products such as telecom equipment, medical devices, biotech, imaging, and battery powered devices for both large companies and small start-ups. Through his work with a wide variety of products and companies, Steve has gained an extensive level of experience with board design that included FPGAs and ASICs.
His ability to see the big picture when working on projects comes from his deep management and communication skills. He can identify issues early in the development process enabling clients and his colleagues to benefit from timely resolutions to potential problems. Steve also has extensive remote development experience both working independently and as part of a team.

Steve is also an active member of the education community where he mentors students in the world championship VEX Robotics competition and volunteers as a STEM tutor. His volunteer participation includes the PTA and the Boy Scouts of America. He has also done humanitarian work in Peru where he helped with electrical work at an orphanage.
Steve will bring another level of expertise to the Summit Scientific team adding his knowledge of electrical engineering and management skills to our client’s projects.
